“It was very thrilling to be at the new Zegna Wool Trophy Competition. Growers from all over Australia attended with Press from Overseas & Australia along with many important members of the Wool Industry.
There were over 50 wool growers invited to compete with lines of 1 to 5 bales of wool. The best 10 as selected by the judges were invited to the presentation with their bales being displayed at the Melbourne Museum, Where all could view these beautiful traditional superfine wools.
The Competition along with the improvement in Wool Prices now has one believing there is a bright future for traditional superfine wool growers, along with Mutton prices Traditional Superfine Wool Growing is starting to mix it with other operations.
Megan & Myself were very surprised to gain second place with such beautiful superfine wools being on display.
The Wool was off traditional 2 year old superfine merino ewes and wool was very sound for the tablelands country of Southern NSW.”
